Riding Falls Creek
The 32km from Mt Beauty to Falls Creek along the Bogong High Plains Road is an exhilarating ride. With an altitude difference of approximately 1300m the ascent requires a good level of fitness. This ride will see you travel through spectacular mountain scenery. Pass mountain streams, waterfalls and stunning wild flowers whilst experiencing close up views of the changing landscape from the valley floor to the alpine zone.
As you ride up to Bogong Village, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt Bogong (Victoria’s highest peak) and a challenging series of ups and downs as you wind along the East Kiewa River. After reaching Howmans Gap the snowgums will signal that the summit is near. Your reward will be spectacular views of the High Country and a welcoming alpine village.

Falls Creek even has a spares vending machine just in case.
For the ultimate alpine ride experience, why not tackle the recently sealed Bogong Alpine Way. The epic 228km loop from Falls Creek takes riders through Mt Beauty and back via Hotham and Omeo. The final stretch from the Omeo Valley to Falls Creek provides a stunning view across the Bogong High Plains.

Validate your climb at the Falls Creek Visitor information Centre next to the Foodworks Supermarket. The Centre is open Mon-Sun: 10am-5pm. You can also Validate your ride at QT reception (bottom of Falls Creek Express lift).
